Harvard Stadium Wedgwood Tile 1907. Measures 4 3/4" by 3 3/8" and 1/4" thick. Has a glazed hole in the mold for hanging. Made for Jones, McDuffee and Stratton, Crockery china and Glass Merchants of 33 Franklin Street of Boston, Ma. The front of the tile depicts Harvard Stadium and says beneath it "Seating Capacity 25,000, Length 575 feet, Width 420 feet, Height, 71 feet." The rear of the tile displays the full calendar for 1907. It is perfectly rectangular with a crisp shape. It is in very nice condition with no cracks, staining, crazing or repairs. There is one flake at the top left corner. No other nicks, chips or flakes. No scratches to the surface. Wedgwood issued these tiles between the 1880s and 1920s. A rare and unique Wedgwood item.
