Program for track meet featuring Oxford & Cambridge v Princeton & Cornell at the White City on 1st July 1950 and features the One Mile won by Roger Bannister. Bannister was the first man to ever run a mile in faster than 4 minutes. This meet took place in 1950 when Bannister was a student at Oxford. He would break the 4 minute barrier, four years later, in 1954. The inside of the program has results written in neatly in ink by a spectator. Guess who won the One Mile race? In good condition, was folded lengthwise at one time.
