Very rare California v. Penn Football Program 1925. Program is in very good condition, both the scorecard page in the middle of the program and the crossword puzzle on the last page are unmarked. Game played at California Memorial Stadium in Berkeley California. Fabulous cover illustration of leatherhead era football players in action. Inside the program are individual actions photos of players from both teams. The game was played on January 1st, 1925 following Penn's undefeated 1924 season. The California Bears went 50 straight games without a defeat from 1920-25 with a record of 46 wins and 4 ties. The 1920-24 squads were so dominant that they were nicknamed "The Wonder Teams". This is a very rare program as teams from the east coast didn't regularly travel to the west to play football. This was the first time Penn and Cal played against each other and was a post-season game. California won by a score of 14-0.
