Original 1934 Rose Bowl Program which featured the Columbia Lions against the Stanford Indians. Tough to find program because it was one of the lowest attended Rose Bowls, likely due to the rainy weather. Hence, the programs were generally ruined making this a further scarcity. The game pitted the Columbia Lions who blanked the Stanford Indians 7-0. There are a couple of chips and corner creasing (as seen in the image) and it has a split cover halfway up the spine, otherwise in very good condition. This was Columbia's only bowl game in its history. Although not visible in the picture, the program cover is one continuous illustration of the two players about to hit each other. Wrap-around covers like this are highly collectable. The game was played in Pasadena on January 1, 1934. Lou Little, the famous Columbia coach is pictured in the program. There are also individual pictures of players from both teams. The program also features a picture of Ernie Nevers as a Stanford backfield coach. Nevers is in both the College Football Hall of Fame as well as the NFL Hall of Fame. The game scorecard in the centerfold is unmarked. The program is signed by nineteen of the Stanford players, making this a very rare specimen of the program indeed.
