Little was the football coach at Georgetown University from 1924 to 1929 and at Columbia University from 1930 to 1956 and was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame. Little guided Columbia to a victory in the Rose Bowl in 1934 and served with distinction as the Sixth Infantry Division in the First World War.
