Harvard Yale Intercollegiate Boat Races Program 1904. Rare turn of the century program of the Harvard-Yale Intercollegiate Boat Races. Large size program measures 12" by 10" held June 23, 1904 on the Thames River in New London, CT. Condition is good with some minor soiling to the covers. The front cover is separating at the spine on the top and bottom, but is still attached to the program. "Souvenir Program and Book of Records" contains 64 pages in all, full of original local advertisers, pictures of both Harvard and Yale varsity crew teams, individual crew statistics, and records of previous varsity races dating back to 1852. The ads include one for vintage sewing machines, one for pleasure carriages (horse drawn), Gold Lack champagne, a steam powered car made by the White Sewing Machine Company, Egyptian Cigarettes and many more. The members of both crew teams are pictured indivually wearing white turtleneck sweaters with either a "Y" or an "H" on them. A nice piece of memorabilia.
