The Sequoia Weekly 1895 - Stanford University, softcover. February 1, 1895. Vol IV. No 19. The Sequoia is a now-defunct Stanford Newspaper that was published bi-weekly at the turn of the 20th Century at Stanford University. This edition is twenty-four pages in very good condition, some small tears to back cover. 8 inches by 10 inches. A fantastic piece of Stanford and Palo Alto history. The program has nice editorial content about Stanford and interesting historical advertisements. Since this is the pre-automobile era, there is an ad in the weekly for a stage coach, the St. James hotel in San Jose, a cigar store selling cuban cigars and many more. A real gem.
