Football programs from 1944 are rare due to the war. Nice cover illustration of Navy Midshipman pulling a 'Big Red' float is done by longtime Army-Navy illustrator Gib Crockett. Loaded with wartime period ads including those for automatic pistols, ammunition, war bonds. Fantastic black and white pictures of naval academy players in their spotless navy uniforms. Early interesting color advertisement from the Baltimore based spice company McCormick titled "Hitler didn't play football".
