The program is illustrated by Gib Crockett, a sports cartoonist for the Washington Evening Star. He illustrated Army-Navy covers for over forty years (1944-1984). Crockett usually infused an element of humor into his work and this one includes the fan on the left sneaking alcohol into his drink. The female on the cover is also an image of his daughter.
