|
Vintage Dartmouth Cornell football program for the game played at Dartmouth's Memorial Field in Hanover, NH on November 12, 1949 against Cornell.
The program is in very good shape with no tears or stains. There is a small crease at the bottom right corner of the front cover and across the upper left corner of the back cover and last few pages. Also, the the very middle double page showing the rosters and the probable Cornell and Dartmouth lineups on a great Chesterfield Cigarette ad (with Bing Crosby, Perry Como and Arthur Godfrey) is loose from the staples.
This would look great framed on the wall of any Dartmouth or Cornell alumn. It is particularly collectible for the Dartmouth alumn who appreciates the Dartmouth Indian mascot, a mascot no longer endorsed by the school. The picture shows Eleazor Wheelock showing the Dartmouth Indian a Wanted sign with a reward of "One Keg of New England Rum" for capture of Big Red (Cornell's mascot).
Size of the program is 7.75" x 10.5"
