Original 1900 Stanford University Indians “FOOTBALL SONGS” booklet with a terrific image of a Stanford football player in his letterman’s block S sweater with his arms folded in front of his chest. The book has 36 numbered pages FULL of songs and yells for the 1900 football season (bound inside the red covers with a staple). It was published by the Associated Students of Stanford University in Palo Alto, California. This is a great souvenir song and yells book from the season Field “Hurry Up” Yost was head coach of the Cardinal and they beat the UC Cal Golden Bears in the big game of 1900. Many of the songs, as you can guess, are about the players and students at Berkeley. The original owner’s name, “Jennie R. Condit” is written at the top of the front cover. The book is in very good condition with the red covers split along the spine and loose. There are some minor red spots to the title page inside. A great piece of Stanford sports history, quite rare!
