USA v. USSR Track Meet 1962 held at Stanford

Official program from the 1962 USSR - USA Dual Track & Field Meet held at Stanford University. The program includes 64 pages of photographs,statistics and information on athletes. Some of the photos include US President John F. Kennedy, and thumbnails of gold medalists Bob Hays, Wilma Rudolph and more!! All pages inside are Black & White. Each thumbnail photo includes a write-up about the athlete along with their past results in each event. The track meet took place on July 21 and 22 of 1962.

An interesting piece of Stanford history during the Cold War. The San Francisco Examiner called the track meet the "Greatest Track Meet of All Time" with crowds of 72,500 and 81,000, the most to ever witness a non-Olympic track meet.
