Order of Ceremonies at the Inauguration of the Rev. Francis Landey Patton, D.D., LL.D. as President of Princeton College, Wednesday, June 20, 1888. Princeton was known as Princeton College until 1896 when it changed to a University. It was under Patton's tenure as President that the name change occurred. Princeton's founders were Presbyterian pastors and the school had strong affiliations with the Presbyterian church and the school's early president's were often members of the clergy.

4 page fold-out program with the order of procession and the order of ceremonies.

The program is in good shape, although there is some soiling to the front cover as seen.
