Vintage Harvard Wooden Fan - Hand Painted

Vintage wooden fan made of paper with a Harvard flag on it. Very delicate and in good condition. When fanned out it measures 16 inches across and 1 inches top to bottom. The wood along the bottom and edges is lacquered and the bottom has a medal bracket which holds it in place. The front and rear of the fan are painted in Harvard's color of crimson. Visually stunning and rare. Difficult to date precisely, but these were popular at the turn of the 20th century. Some color loss, paint fading and minor chipping, still in good condition for being a century old.
