Dartmouth Winter Carnival - Original Poster 1994

Original poster for the 1994 Dartmouth College Winter Carnival. Colorful and playful graphics depict a cartoon character sporting the Dartmouth "D". The caption says it all. "When Hanover Freezes Over all Carnival Breaks Loose."

This is an original poster in very good condition having no more than edge nicks or wrinkles, if any. Approx. 22" x 34". Officially named Winter Carnival, the annual event evolved into a legendary festival once dubbed "the Mardi Gras of the North" by National Geographic. Our posters were purchased in bulk and come from the college and is not a reproduction.

Each year students submit poster designs in a competition. A committee of students know as the Winter Carnival Council then picks the winning design. This poster designed by David M. Stack '96.
