The famous Yale University Golf Course designed by Charles B. Macdonald and Seth Raynor box produced by Spalding in the 1950s. They were issued in a series, featuring different holes, this one features the 9th, a par three at Yale. The 9th is a classic Biarritz hole that requires a 190 yard carry over water. The artwork on the cover was produced by Edwin Barrie who was the owner of the Grand Central Art Galleries in New York City. Barrie painted paintings for Spalding in the 1950s that were inset into these boxes which were sold and had sleeves of golf balls inside. Barrie also painted boxes depicting holes at Augusta, Pinehurst and Pine Valley. The Yale box is quite rare, it measures 7 1/2 " x 5 1/2 " x 2 "
