Army v. Navy Football Program 1956, game played at Municipal Stadium in Philadelphia. Program is in good condition, with some small bends to the corners.

One of the best all-time college football program covers, shows a fan at 30th Street Station in Philadelphia trying to board a train with a piece of the goal post from Franklin Field. The program is illustrated by Gib Crockett, a sports cartoonist for the Washington Evening Star. He illustrated Army-Navy covers for over forty years (1944-1984). Mr. Crockett often used relatives, friends, and acquaintances as models for the individuals portrayed on the program covers. Gib's father-in-law, Pearl Abbott was the model for the bemused spectator coming up from the train platform below. The porter is modeled after one that worked at Union Station. Crockett paid the man for his likeness with a bottle of whiskey. The program is a very large one at 168 pages.
