Original Dartmouth Winter Carnival Poster 1975. The Theme of the 1975 Carnival was "Valhalla - Beyond the North Winds." Officially named Winter Carnival, the annual event evolved into a legendary festival once dubbed the Mardi Gras of the North by National Geographic magazine. Our posters were purchased in bulk and come from the college and is not a reproduction. Poster designed by George H. Selkirk III '77.
