Dedication Of The Cornell Library Building Ithaca, N. Y. December 20, 1866. Hardcover book in good condition. 109 pages with beautiful illustrations and the text is in calligraphy. Includes the address made by Cornell's founder Ezra Cornell as well as the dedication hymn that was sung. Also contains a speech given by Mr. W.H. Bogart, a dedication address, the prayer of dedication and a copy of the deed of trust. According to the book, the library cost $65,676.50 to build. The library as built could hold 30,000 volumes, had a ladies reading room, a mens reading room and a lecture room. In quite good condition, especially considering its age.
