Framed West Point Cadet Corporal Uniform 1839-1853

Beautiful framed West Point "Cadet Corporal" uniform 1839-1853. The frame is 16 inches tall and 13 inches wide and the illustration was done by the Lieutenant Colonel Dick S. Von Schriltz, U.S. Army, retired.

This version of the uniform was worn by U.S. Grant, William T. Sherman, George B. McClellan, James Longstreet and George Pickett when they attended the military academy. A full description of the uniform and its history is on the rear of the picture.
