Stanford Street Names : A Pocket Guide by Richard W. Cottle. Softcover book published in 2005, 80 pages. The book was folded at one time but otherwise is in very good condition. Difficult to find and interesting guide. Cottle was a professor at Stanford. Stock Farm Road was named for Leland Stanford's horse farm. Sand Hill Road took its name from the condition of the previous road which was not in the best condition: dusty in the summer and muddy in the winter.
