Univ of Pennsylvania Linen Postcard - Memorial Tower

Very good condition vintage linen postcard of the Memorial Tower and statue at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia PA. Canceled May 10, 1948 with writing on the back. Stamp was removed. Corners are very good with no bends or creases anywhere on the card. Linen postcards were produced between 1930 and 1945 when a new printing processes allowed printers to produce postcards with high rag content, which gave them a look of being printed on linen, rather than paper. Linen postcards have a beautiful, subtle use of colors.
