Small Notre Dame football buttons, measuring 3/4 inches in diameter, with a blue background and gold lettering. The buttons were made by Whitehead & Hoag Company of Newark, New Jersey. Whithead & Hoag was famous for making political buttons around the turn of the 20th century and they went out of business in 1959. These buttons are likely 1930s or 1940s given their small size.
