Yale Wedgwood Plate Harkness Tower

Yale University Plate Wedgwood Harkness Tower 1928 in very good condition. No chips, cracks or crazing. 10 7/8 in diameter, stamped Wedgwood on the back with the appropriate seal, made in England. Attractive, finely detailed design depicting the Harkness Tower at Yale. From the Yale College series of twelve plates which were produced in 1949. Harkness Tower is a prominent Collegiate Gothic structure at Yale. The tower was constructed between 1917 and 1921 as part of the Memorial Quadrangle. It was designed by James Gamble Rogers, who designed many of Yale's "Collegiate Gothic" structures.
